THE CURIOUS MIND JOURNAL

An IQ-style test. An honest perspective.

Reasoning tasks can be interesting without pretending to tell the whole story of intelligence. Explore an original, 24-item assessment and see how you approached this set of patterns.

What makes a test an IQ test?

A standardized IQ score depends on a validated instrument, controlled administration, and appropriate norms. A website cannot establish those properties by converting a percentage into a number. Our current assessment reports observed performance instead.

What you can explore here

Find missing elements in matrices, follow rotations, compare shapes, infer numerical transformations, and test logical rules. Your result describes these particular tasks. It does not compare you with a representative population.

Before you begin

Allow around 8–12 minutes in a quiet place. No account is required for the free result. The optional full report costs the displayed one-time price and includes category detail, item explanations, response timing and a PDF.
